After an exceptionally hot weekend, the weather changes radically this Monday. Indeed, a depression, named Renata, is deepening off the coast of Scotland this Sunday evening and will plunge towards the Benelux on Monday, energized by a powerful jet stream at nearly 300 km/h which passes just above the regions in north of the Seine, observe The Weather Channel*. As it passes between Monday 9 a.m. and Monday 9 p.m., it will cause heavy, occasionally stormy showers accompanied by a risk of hail, but above all a brief and powerful windy spell.
Fourteen departments will be concerned: Aisne, Ardennes, Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Bas-Rhin, Seine- Maritime, the Somme, the Vosges and Val-d’Oise. Gusts will reach 100 to 110 km/h in Hauts-de-France as well as on the Normandy coasts. In the north of the Paris basin and the Grand-Est, gusts could reach 80 to 90 km/h, up to 100 km/h on the Champagne and Lorraine plateaus, as well as on the Vosges massif.
Evolution of depression
Between 9 and 11 a.m.the wind will gradually strengthen to 80 km/h in gusts near the English Channel in connection with the approach of the disturbance.
Between 11 and 2 p.m., the cold front linked to the disturbance will sweep the Normandy and Picardy coasts as well as the North Sea coast at 90-100 km/h in gusts. In Hauts-de-France, the wind will blow violently from the coasts inland with gusts reaching 100 to 110 km/h
Between 2 and 5 p.m.the disturbance will affect the north of the Paris region up to the Ardennes with gusts of 70 to 90 km/h, up to 100 km/h from Picardy to the Ardennes.
Between 5 and 9 p.m., this active cold front will slide towards Champagne, northern Lorraine then the Vosges, giving gusts of 80 to 90 km/h occasionally. The wind will still blow strongly towards the Picardy coast at 100 km/h as well as the Vosges.
From 9 p.m. and the cold front evacuates, the wind will quickly weaken.

On the neighboring regions of the Channel until Paris basin, the Champagne, THE Ardennes and the northern Lorraine, you will spend the day under a heavy sky with powerful showers, sometimes stormy. The wind will blow strongly from the coasts of the Channel to Île-de-France, from Champagne, to the Ardennes to Lorraine, with gusts at 80 to 100 km/h, and even 100 to 110 km/h as the powerful lines of showers over Hauts-de-France. Tuesday, it’s a big cold spell that affects the whole country, with showers or sleet, snow from 1000 meters, a noticeable north wind, a strong tramontane and a violent mistral near the Mediterranean. It will truly be a real All Saints’ Day in terms of feeling!
