The OnePlus brand presented the Nord 3 smartphone at the beginning of the holidays, and at the end of the holidays, it wanted to show the world its first phone with a flexible display – but according to the latest information, this project is getting delayed. However, the Chinese company is not only working on its first jigsaw, but also on a super-powerful smartphone with a classic design.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be a powerful beast
The upcoming novelty will bear the name OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and thus expand the OnePlus Ace model line, which is sold exclusively in China. However, it cannot be ruled out that it will go out into the world under a different name, after all, the mentioned OnePlus Nord 3 is only a renamed OnePlus Ace 2V from the spring of this year. And why would we want the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the global market? Because his gear will be royal indeed.
At the recent China Joy event in Shanghai, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will be complemented by a unique cooling system that we have not seen before in the world of smartphones. The total area of cooling materials is said to be 9140m2, with OnePlus claiming that the materials used are inspired by space rockets to ensure a cooler body of up to 14.4°C – but we don’t know what OnePlus is comparing it to.
24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage
The fact that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be a truly powerful beast is also reported by the AnTuTu benchmark, in which the pre-production unit scored an incredible 1,733,703 points. Test details confirm that the manufacturer plans to deploy up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. We also know that the screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
And what will the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro look like? This was revealed this week by an informant Ice Universe, who published two press images ahead of time. But it is clear from them that no big surprise awaits us – OnePlus will apparently recycle the design of the OnePlus 11, OnePlus Ace 2 or OnePlus 11R smartphones. One of the photos reveals that OnePlus will build the main camera on a 50MP sensor with a size of 1/1.56″, which will not lack optical stabilization. But we lack Hasselblad’s color tuning.
We still have no idea when the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be introduced and whether it will also reach the global market. Last year’s OnePlus Ace received a global variant called the OnePlus 10T, but this year it is rumored that no autumn “tee” will arrive.
