The CDCOC detains a tax officer for soliciting and receiving a bribe.
According to BNT, the work on the case began after a signal that an employee of the Control Directorate of the Audit Department at the Territorial Directorate of the National Revenue Agency – Sofia requested the amount of BGN 10,000 from an authorized person of a company.
The money was requested in connection with an audit of the company. According to unconfirmed information, a specialized operation on the case is being conducted in an office in Ihtiman.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that there is such a case, but at this stage of the investigation no detailed information can be reported, as pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
