There was a major power outage in Nieuw-West tonight. This included the districts of De Aker, Geuzenveld and Lutkemeer. According to Liander, around 3,000 connections were affected. The lights came back on around 9:20 p.m. and the outage lasted about an hour and a half.
This concerned the postal codes 1060, 1067 and 1069. Households on Dijkgraafplein, Ecuplein and Akersingel, among others, were without light. More than 40 streets were without power.
Last week there was also a major power outage in South, in the postal codes 1072, 1077, 1078 and 1082. The outage left almost 3,400 households in the dark for just over an hour. The street lighting, for example, also did not work.
