Power outage in Dnipro and the region – what is the situation with power supply

This was announced by the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council Nikolai Lukashuk. The Russians have launched rocket attacks on energy facilities in different parts of the region.

What is the situation in the Dnepropetrovsk region

Nikolai Lukashuk said that as a result of damage to power plants in the region, a blackout occurred. However, citizens should be prepared that closures can be lengthy.

The situation with the supply of electricity in the region remains difficult, the Russians have caused significant damage to our energy system. We have a blackout again. Please be prepared for extended outages. Russian terrorists will never achieve their goal. They will be shot in the teeth, captured, they will die on the battlefield. And they will never break Ukraine,
Lukashuk stressed.

According to the head of the Dnepropetrovsk OVA Valentina Reznychenko, as of 16:00 there was only enough electricity in the region for the minimal supply of critical infrastructure: hospitals, boilers, sewage pumping stations and water mains. No forecasts have yet been made about the resumption of power supply to residential buildings, because the situation remains difficult.

However, energy engineers are working to quickly stabilize the situation in the region.

What is the situation in Dnipro

Wed of the Dnieper Boris Filatov noted that the region has an extremely low level of electricity supply, which is why most of the heating and water supply systems are out of power.

Starting at 21:00 on December 16, the city begins a phased supply of electricity to the largest pumping and filtration stations. Hopefully, around 9:00 am on December 17, residents of the lower Right Bank and Left Bank of the city will receive water. At the same time, enterprises supplying water to residents of the Upper Right Bank are waiting for the completion of repair work, there will be water there no earlier than 3 pm on December 17.

Most of the city’s boiler houses are also waiting for the electricity and water supply to be restored.

Massive rocket attack: consequences in the Dnepropetrovsk region

The Russians have attacked the region’s energy infrastructure. The Air Defense Forces shot down 10 missiles, however, unfortunately, there is still one hit. In particular, about 3,000 miners found themselves underground due to a power outage in Krivorozhsky, Sinelnikovsky and Pavlogradsky districts. By evening, everyone managed to return to the surface.

Another enemy missile ended up in a residential building in Krivoy Rog. Among the dead a 64-year-old woman and a young couple. The son of the deceased couple is now being searched under the rubble. 13 other people were injured. In particular, and four children. All the minors are in the hospital. The seven-year-old girl is in serious condition.
