It was at the start of the fourth period in the second quarterfinal meeting between Philadelphia and Washington in the basketball NBA playoffs that Washington star Russell Westbrook linked out of the field to receive treatment in the locker room for an injured foot. Then a home supporter took the opportunity to pour popcorn on the 32-year-old point guard, who was named the league’s most valuable player in 2017.
Westbrook became top barrels furious and and several security guards had to hold him back to prevent a confrontation with the popcorn sinner.
