The new platform for the submission of declarations “Pothen Esches”, which has been implemented in application of Law 5026/2023, has been put into operation, in the context of the cooperation of the Ministers of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, of the Deputy Ministers of Justice, Yiannis Bouga and the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Christos Dimas, as well as the commander of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, Giorgos Pitsilis.
The new platform for submitting “Pothen Esches” declarations:
- It draws data from financial institutions and credit institutions, with the aim of automating and facilitating the submission of declarations by debtors.
- It enhances the transparency and control of declarations, as the available data for each obligee is pre-populated automatically. It is noted that to date data has been collected from 114 financial organizations and credit institutions.
- It has a separate submission of declarations by the spouses of the liable persons, who according to Law 5026/23 acquire an independent obligation to submit.
- It works with the National Register of Communications, emep.gov.gr, of the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance, with the aim of more effective and more immediate information to the liable persons.
The platform was implemented by the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance of the Ministry of Digital Governance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the Control Committee of the “Never Related” declarations of Article 25, the National Transparency Authority and the other special control bodies of Article 27 , the Bank of Greece, the Capital Market Commission, the Union of Hellenic Banks, the financial institutions and the credit organizations, under the supervision of Dimosthenes Anagnostopoulos.
It is pointed out that the submission of the annual declarations for the years 2023 (year 2022) and 2024 (year 2023) during the first application of the law can be carried out for minor children without requiring the system to fill in a Tax Registration Number (TIN), in the case which has not been issued, with notification of the remaining individual details.
It is noted that the new platform is subject to continuous checks and upgrades to improve functionality, extract data from additional agencies and therefore provide better service to users.
