Juventus plans to swap Dusan Vlahovic with Romelu Lukaku. The Serbian striker would prefer to stay in Turin than move to Chelsea, but is open to all possibilities.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vlahovic has so far not asked to enter the sale list. He also seemed happy to be on a pre-season tour to the United States with Juventus.
Even so, he realized that the potential transfer might happen to him, and he would not oppose if it was for the best. But he wanted to show that if he ever moved to Chelsea, it was due to a management decision.
If he could choose, Vlahovic is said to prefer moving to Paris Saint-Germain because he plays in the Champions League. However, the reigning French champions have turned their backs on Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos.
Juventus are reportedly asking for 40 million Euros in exchange between Vlahovic and Lukaku. But so far the Blues have not given the green light. The Bianconeri are believed to have nothing to lose in this negotiation.
If later this transfer does not materialize, they are still happy to be able to use Vlahovic’s services. The 23-year-old player’s contract still has three more years remaining.
The 2023-24 Serie A season will start in about two weeks. Juventus will face host Udinese in the first week, Monday (21/8) at 01.45 WIB.
