Potential rise in hardware requirements expected for Windows 12

Microsoft is still expected to deliver updates in the coming months for Windows 11, including the Moment 3 and Moment 4 updates.

The latest ones now explain what the hardware requirements might be for this new version of Windows. This version of Windows does not yet have a specific name, but various sources refer to it as “Next Valley.”

Microsoft’s own executive, Panos Panay, has already confirmed that the next generation of Windows will offer new experiences to users and will be highly focused on the use of AI to optimize users’ daily tasks.

If all goes as rumored, Microsoft should go back to scheduling a Windows update every three years, as it had been until the arrival of Windows 10. Given this, the next version of Windows 12 is expected to be released in the second half of 2024.

However, in addition to all the new features that this version can bring, another important aspect to take into account will be the hardware requirements. At this point it is still relatively early to indicate the details on this, but if we take into account the most recent rumors, it is possible that Microsoft reinforces them.
