Looks like Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman just stumbled across a new Apple Store.
In the latest issue of the journalist’s Power On newsletter, Gurman himself discovered what appears to be a new Apple Store that may be coming to the Grove Mall in Los Angeles, California. The location is coincidentally right across from an old Apple Store, which lends more authority to the rumor, as Apple has opened new stores close to its old ones several times.
A giant new Apple Store is coming to LA. I went to the Grove Mall in Los Angeles last week and noticed a giant new space being built on the right side of Nordstrom. The upcoming store is remarkably large, wide, and surrounded by materials that Apple has used in its recent retail redesigns.
There is no signage on the construction project to indicate the builder or which store is coming into this space, but it just happens to be right in front of an existing Apple store, which has been there for nearly. two decades and is, quite frankly, aging. My friend Joseph quickly joked that it must be a new Apple location.

Gurman said he was unable to see inside the store, so it is currently unclear how far the construction process has advanced.
Sure enough, I asked around and it looks like the new space is indeed for a makeover Apple Store at The Grove. As a local, I look forward to it. But it’s unclear when it will open, and the front is so covered that it’s hard to get a feel for the progress inside.
If Apple opens a new location, it will certainly adopt much of the design of the company’s new stores: massive windows, interior greenery, leather and wood accents, and more.
