Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Interim Governor (Pj) of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono enable the company to implement the policy work from home (WFH) aka work from home following potential terrible storm which should take place on Wednesday (28/12) tomorrow.
Heru said WFH’s policy, in addition to avoiding the potential for extreme weather, could also reduce traffic jams, especially ahead of the new year 2023.
“If it is after hours, every private individual (company) can make a policy for WFH,” Heru told Graha BNPB, East Jakarta on Tuesday (12/27).
Heru assured that his party would regularly provide news-related information on weather conditions so that it could be used as a reference for companies in implementing WFH.
Aside from that, Heru said, his team will also dredge rivers and streams in the capital to minimize the risk of flooding.
On the other hand, according to him, BNPB along with the Indonesian Air Force and the National Aeronautics and Space Agency are deploying weather modification technology (TMC) to anticipate the potential for extreme weather, heavy rain and storms to be expected they will occur tomorrow.
“Pak Isnawa Adji (Chief of BPBD DKI Jakarta) coordinated with BRIN, Indonesian Air Force, this afternoon to advance the 28th and so on. Maybe we broke with the TMC concept, and it’s time for dredging. Let’s hope this disaster doesn’t you arrive, ”he said.
