The government of Saudi Arabia is ready to stop the supply of oil if an attempt is made to introduce a ceiling on its value.
This was announced by the energy minister of the country, Abdulaziz bin Salman, TASS reported.
The country is ready to stop supplies to any country that imposes such a cap. It is also ready to cut oil production.
It refers to a new US law that gives the right to file antitrust lawsuits against OPEC representatives.
The Saudi representative insists that this will lead to an imbalance in supply and demand in the world market. Dissatisfaction against attempts to reduce oil prices is also announced.
He believes that this leads to instability in the industry.
Attempts at a similar law have been made before, but were not passed.
