The first OnePlus smartphone with a flexible display may arrive later than we expected. At first there was talk of a summer premiere, then there were rumors of a postponement to September, now there is even talk of the month of October. So, it is very likely that the OnePlus Open will overtake the clamshell Oppo Find N3 Flip from the same stable.
OnePlus Open is postponed again
The latest rumors about the postponement of the OnePlus Open were published by the usually accurate informant Yogesh Brar on the X network. According to him, two factors are responsible for the delay – on the one hand, the previously speculated change of the supplier of flexible displays, and also on the patent dispute that the Chinese brands from the BBK Electronic conglomerate have with Finland’s Nokia. Because of him, the brands OnePlus and Oppo are not allowed to sell their smartphones in Germany, and there is also talk of restricting activities in France.
OPPO Find N3 Flip China launch is scheduled for end of August.
OnePlus Open Global launch is expected to happen by late September – early October.
Apparently the delay is not just due to display switch but also due to the Nokia – OPPO royalty case.

OnePlus Open is supposed to be the global version of the Oppo Find N3 smartphone, which has not yet been introduced. However, Oppo is preparing a different puzzle, namely the clamshell Find N3 Flip. For him, Yogesh Brar expects to be introduced before the end of the summer holidays, the (yet unofficial) date of August 29 is circulating on the Internet.

The soon arrival of the Oppo Find N3 Flip is also evidenced by rapidly spreading leaks containing both a list of parameters, but also renders and diagrams of the entire phone. According to them, the upcoming hatchback will directly follow last year’s model, which is also sold in the Czech Republic. Its main attraction was the large external display, and it seems that the Chinese manufacturer will choose a similar solution this year as well. In competition with the recently introduced Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, its outdoor screen will no longer be a record holder – Oppo will probably use the same 3.3″ display as last year.
The layout and number of cameras next to the display are to change, Oppo is said to use a circular photo module with 3 lenses this year. There is talk of deploying a basic, wide-angle and zoom camera with a resolution of 50, 8 and 32 megapixels. The equipment also includes an internal 6.8″ LTPO AMOLED display and a battery with support for fast 67W charging.
We don’t yet know if the Oppo Find N3 Flip will hit the global market. Its predecessor entered the world six months late.
