The broadcast of Celebrity Race Across the World, a BBC show, produced by Studio Lambert, scheduled on BBC One at 9 p.m. on Wednesday September 13, has been postponed following the deadly 6.8 magnitude earthquake which hit the Morocco on the night of Friday to Saturday and reported 2,862 dead and 2,501 injured, according to the latest provisional report published by the Moroccan Minister of the Interior. “In light of the earthquake in Morocco, we have made the decision to postpone the first episode of Celebrity Race Across the World, which was filmed in Marrakech. We will update you with new programming details shortly,” a BBC spokesperson told Mirror.

Presenter Alex Beresford and his father, English singer Melanie Blatt and her mother Helene, McFly drummer Harry Judd and his mother Emma, and British racing driver Billy Monger and his sister Bonny took part in Celebrity Race Across the World. In this six-episode version of the series, they crossed 24 countries and traveled more than 10,000 km. From Marrakech to the ports and beaches of the Mediterranean, passing through incomparable historic and cosmopolitan cities, the mighty Alps, unexplored Central Europe, the fairytale Baltic States and snow-covered Scandinavia, the four celebrities and their running partners raced to ‘to the finish line located thousands of kilometers away, without having to resort to air transport.
