Due to the persistence in the country of the conditions of health emergency national by Coronavirus 2019, the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) ordered postpone the procedures of inscription and re-enrollment for him school cycle 2020-2021.
In a notice sent through the Federal Educational Authority in Mexico City, the federal agency announced that activities prior to the start of the school year will be suspended.
“It is necessary to mention that the conditions of the health emergency that caused the spread of covid-19 still prevail throughout the country, which implies continuing with social distancing measures,” he points out.
“The activities prior to the start of the 2020-2021 school year are postponed until further notice, especially those corresponding to the intensive phase of the School Technical Council (from August 3 to 7), the school cleaning day and the registration and re-enrollments to the 2020-2021 school year ”.

In the secretariat agreement 06/12/20 that it published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the federal agency had established August 10 as the date for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
Registrations and re-registrations would be carried out on August 6 and 7 in person or online, in order to guarantee their entry into the educational service; while the delivery of all the documentation would take place during the first three months of the cycle.
“The re-registration will be carried out automatically to the corresponding degree; If the student studied the immediate previous degree at the same school, the principal or the director of the public or private educational institution with authorization will verify her academic record in her files, without requiring further documentation, “the document stated.
The announcement was made by the SEP on Tuesday night, when it was announced that activities such as the School Technical Council in which the return to school would be planned would be suspended; It will be until Monday when the head of the federal agency Esteban Moctezuma Barragán will announce at a morning press conference the conditions for the start of the school year.
