Posthumous album Ennio Morricone with unreleased music announced | Show

The album will be released on November 6, a few days before what had been Morricone’s 92nd birthday. Morricone Segreto is Italian for ‘the secret of Morricone’. In addition to the seven unreleased tracks, the album contains works by Morricone from the period between 1960 and 1980.

The Italian composer died in July at the age of 91 after a fall. He is best known for his collaboration with director Sergio Leone. Morricone provided the soundtrack for the films For a fistful of dollars, For a few dollars more, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Down the Head, en Once Upon a Time in America.
