- “The rioters, the wounded and the relatives of those who lost their lives filed a criminal complaint with the Attorney General against Victor Ponta, Raed Arafat, Nicolae Bănicioiu and Gabriel Oprea, the political decision makers responsible for the unprofessional and malicious interventions of the authorities and for their disastrous consequences “, write the organizers in the message of the event announced on Facebook.
The manifesto is organized by Corruption kills, Romania Initiative and Geeks For Democracy and takes place starting at 6pm.
Message from the organizers
“65 people died and more than 150 were injured in the fire on October 30, 2015 – children and parents, brothers and sisters, friends and lovers.
The #collectiv dossier was superficially manipulated, procrastinated, divided and an attempt was made to divert public attention from the fact that hospitals and authorities’ decisions caused more victims of the fire itself.
Rioters, wounded and relatives of those who lost their lives filed a criminal complaint with the Attorney General against Victor Ponta, Raed Arafat, Nicolae Bănicioiu and Gabriel Oprea, the political decision makers responsible for the unprofessional and malicious interventions of the authorities and for the their disastrous consequences.
7 years since then, this dossier is delayed at the Attorney General’s Office and the problem of the health system, beds and hospitals for burns, nosocomial infections is far from being resolved and the exercise of public spaces is still allowed without guarantee protection against fire and emergency situations.
And this year, as in each of the last 7, we take to the streets to ask for justice for the #collective and # us.
Sunday 30 October 2022, from 18:00 we will be #together again in front of the Colectiv circle and then we will bring the portraits of the victims to the Attorney General so that the decision makers of this institution remember why they come to work and what responsibility they have to do justice “, The organizers said.
