Post-match statements from Fernando Muslera

Our captain, Fernando Muslera, made evaluations to the broadcaster after the Yukatel Kayserispor match in the Super League.

Stating that they got together in the dressing room after the match, Muslera stated that they would forget about this match and try to be better in the coming weeks.

Fernando Muslera’s post-match statements are as follows:

“First of all, I would like to congratulate Kayserispor. They fought well today. They deserved the win all the way. On the other hand, if we look at our own team, we worked very well on all the details during the week. It is not right to find excuses at this moment. There is a Galatasaray that opened the league early. We have new friends joining us. We are inevitably going through an adaptation process. Everyone is just getting to know each other. A friend of ours went to the field for the first time today. Of course, these are not excuses, but you know that we have had such problems in the previous years as well.”

“There are such problems at the beginning of the league; but we gathered in the locker room right after the game. ‘We are Galatasaray. We need to work harder. We are at the very beginning of the road. We have more matches. There have been such difficulties before, and we have overcome it. And it ended in a better way’ we told you. We need to put more. Maybe we need to work harder. Everyone needs to prepare themselves better and take them further. Almost half of the team is new. We will get to know each other better. We play a match every three days. We have an intense match tempo between the league and Europe.”

“It was our team that showed that performance and played that game in the Lazio game. So we have this potential. We can do it again. Of course we will be upset. Let’s put that aside and prepare for our important game in three days. There’s no point in worrying too much. We have to forget that and look ahead.”
