Possibly no longer a distinction between actors and actresses at Gouden Kalveren

Every year, more than twenty prizes are presented during the Golden Calf Gala. There are different awards for men and women in three categories: best actor / actress, best male / female supporting actor and best actor / actress in a television drama. Major foreign film awards such as the Oscars, Baftas and Emmys also have such a subdivision.

Incidentally, the Golden Calf Gala already has a gender-neutral past. For many years in the 1990s, there was no division between men and women in the ‘best acting performance in television drama’ category.
