Possible wrong person liquidated in shooting incident in Osdorp | NOW

The 33-year-old man who was shot last week in the Amsterdam district of Osdorp, may have been mistaken for someone else. Police suspect that the shooting was a targeted liquidation attempt on a possible other victim.

There would be “strong indications” that the 33-year-old victim has been mistaken for another person. The police insist on keeping all scenarios open.

The man was shot last week on the night from Monday to Tuesday. He was found bleeding in the street, resuscitated and operated on in the hospital, but died later that day.

Tuesday nights were in the TV program Investigation Requested Shown images of several cars driving away from the crime scene shortly after the incident. In addition, witnesses are said to have seen two dark-clad men run away after the incident.

A shooting incident also took place in the Osdorp district at the end of last month. It does not seem as yet that the incidents are related to each other.
