After a seriously injured man was found lying on the road in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Friday night, a 55-year-old man turned himself in to a police inspection on Monday evening. He could be responsible for the crime.
So far, the circumstances were unclear and the subject of investigations. However, a 55-year-old Austrian citizen, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself in at the Trillergasse police station. He stated that he was driving his van in the Brünner Straße area at the time in question. According to the police, he was on his way from his apartment to a market at around 3.30 a.m. He is said to have noticed a hit while driving, but did not pay any further attention to it. He later found damage to the vehicle. Due to the media coverage of the finding of the seriously injured, he recognized a possible connection and went to the police inspection.
