Shots may have been fired at a PLUS supermarket on Pastoor Jongeriusstraat in Klazienaveen this evening. Around 7:10 p.m., bystanders heard sounds that would indicate this. The police are investigating whether shots were actually fired.
Several police cars have gathered around the supermarket. The area was initially cordoned off, but the police tape has now been removed, bystanders report.
It is not clear what preceded the possible shooting. The police write on X that there were no injuries.
Police officers are conducting further investigations in the area of Pastoor Jongeriusstraat and are looking for a possible shooter.
