A 37-year-old man from Roosendaal was arrested this afternoon for investigation after a fatal accident in Grijpskerke in Zeeland. He was the driver of a truck that collided head-on with a passenger car on Hondegemsweg. A 39-year-old man from Veere in Zeeland was killed. A blood test was taken from the resident of Roosendaal after a positive saliva test.
His truck, which was loaded with sand, ended up in the lane for oncoming traffic because he had to avoid a stationary truck. There his truck collided with the passenger car. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.
