Possible Link Between Long-Term Health Complaints and Corona Vaccines: More Research Needed

The Lareb Side Effects Center calls for more scientific research into a possible link between a pattern of long-term health complaints and corona vaccines. Until August last year, the center received a total of 2,282 reports about people who developed complaints that lasted longer than six months in the four weeks after a corona vaccination. The question is whether those complaints were related to vaccines, or coincidentally arose relatively shortly after the injection due to another cause.

“There is insufficient evidence for a possible link with the corona vaccines,” Lareb immediately adds. Out of the total number of vaccinations, the number of reports is relatively small: more than 12 million Dutch people have received corona vaccinations.

It has been known for some time that complaints sometimes arise after a corona shot, but Lareb is now reporting for the first time that there may be a pattern. Complaints that Lareb now reports on range from shortness of breath and fatigue to muscle and joint pain and chest pain. Some people report experiencing a kind of “brain fog,” difficulty concentrating, and memory loss. These are also known effects of corona infections.

78 the message

Lareb has further investigated 78 reports and sees a pattern of complaints that is reminiscent of long-term Covid complaints, also known as post-Covid syndrome. This diagnosis was also made in 11 people. The majority (80 percent) have not received a diagnosis, or this is unknown.

One possibility that Lareb keeps open is that the people who developed the complaints after vaccination were also infected with the coronavirus, without knowing this. It is known that corona infections that are initially mild, or even without symptoms, can still lead to long-term complaints.
