Possible Homicide-Suicide: Two Hispanic Women Found Dead in East Flatbush Apartment

Our colleague Edinson Oportus, from Univisión 41, went to the building located in East Flatbush, at 1296 New York Avenue. From there he confirmed that both victims are Hispanic and that the case is being investigated as a possible homicide-suicide.

Presumably, they are mother and daughter, but authorities have not been able to identify them.

The two Hispanic women have been dead for several days

A neighbor of the same building, Robin Franco, told Univision 41 that last Friday, September 22, he called the emergency service after hearing strange noises coming from that apartment.

“I called 911 on Friday morning, because I had heard knocks on the walls and Pedro barking. The police came, they knocked on the door and from inside only music could be heard, but since no one opened the door, they left,” he said.

“Yesterday (Monday) when I got home I found this (the homicides),” he added.

According to Edinson Oportus, the Police found the teenager’s body next to the woman’s in the living room.

Another neighbor of the building said that she had previously seen them walking the dog, but that she had no contact with them. “We have a lot of new neighbors, I don’t know what they were like personally, but I saw them from time to time,” she was honest.

The authorities are waiting for the autopsy carried out by forensic medicine to determine the exact causes of death and to advance the investigations.
