Three other probable cases of monkeypox have been identified in San Francisco residents, the public health department said Thursday.
The first of its kind was detected last week, bringing the total number of probable cases to four.
One of the three people with the cases identified Thursday reported recent travel within the United States, while the other two did not.
The city is still waiting for the CDC to confirm all cases. Meanwhile, health officials said the risk to the general population of the city is low.
No additional information was immediately available.
