Posnania employees complain about parking in the shopping center. “Let the center stop dictating where we can park”

A reader who works at the facility wrote to us.

From August, parking at the Posnania shopping center is paid. Customers are provided with 3 hours of free parking. Customers of the Helios cinema and owners of the Posnania application park for an hour longer for free. Each additional hour will cost PLN 5. The system operates ticketless, so there are barriers and devices for verifying license plates at the entrances and exits from the parking lot.

As we have already informed on epoznan.pl, employees can purchase a parking subscription. Stores up to 1,000 m2 are entitled to 1 subscription, and stores over 1,000 m2 are entitled to 5 subscriptions. Places for employees are located in a designated place. The cost of one subscription is PLN 90 net per month.

A reader wrote to us about places for employees. – The designated place for us is parking +2 and +3. This makes no sense, considering that there are people working at the other end of the mall who, thanks to this great idea, have to cover (horror of horrors) a distance of two stops. The center’s management assured us, as subscription payers, that customers would not be allowed to enter the above-mentioned parking lots. And in fact, the gate was built and there was great information that this was a zone for people who had purchased a subscription. Unfortunately, Posnania’s promises are unfulfilled. On weekends, with such high occupancy, customers can come wherever they want. What’s more, sometimes without even paying for parking. If it’s going to look like this, maybe the center should stop dictating where we can park, let them open the whole thing to everyone and stop trying to trick us? This is not fair to the rest of the users who pay for entire months – I’m writing.

Martyna Walczak from Posnania explains that “designated parking spaces and levels are intended to ensure comfort for customers and availability of spaces for employees.” – In times of heavy traffic, we increase the number of places for customers and provide temporary free places on levels +2 and +3, for which customers are charged according to the price list. At the same time, we take care of employees who always have a guaranteed place – ensure.
