More medals for the Mercedinos in the Buenos Aires Games

The Mercedes delegation continues its participation in the Games with outstanding participations and adding medals. It is worth remembering that we have a large delegation that is having a very positive experience of socialization and learning, in addition to participation in the competitions.

Yesterday, Wednesday, Atilio Zapata, Brian Álvarez and Bautista Álvarez Morán won a bronze medal in Gimnasia Deportiva Sofía Oderigo, and a silver medal in Swimming (PCD). Intergenerational Orientation, Miguel Angel Solari and Andrés Somosa with a silver medal. Bautista García won the gold medal in Shot Put, Alexis Ferreira won the silver medal in Long Jump (PCD).

Thiago Bustos took the gold in Shot Put (PCD).

Under 18 men’s handball: Mercedes (Camila Rolón) beat Tandil 25 to 22, but they were unable to overcome the group stage.

Under 16 women’s handball: Mercedes (Camila Rolón) after 2 defeats, they managed to recover and beat Bahía Blanca with a score that ended 25 to 12 in favor of the Mercedinas.

Under 16 men’s hanball: Mercedes (Padre Ansaldo Institute) completed its participation with a 16 – 35 defeat against General Pueyrredón.

Under 18 women’s beach soccer: having to win to advance to the next phase, the girls from Club Mercedes defeated San Fernando 3 to 1, achieving a place in the semi-finals that will be played tomorrow, Friday.

Softball: the under 18 men’s and under 12 mixed under 12 mixed under 12 mixed teams failed to advance to the final phases, with only the under 16 men’s team representing the Technical School (Industrial) qualifying, which will play tomorrow for its place in the final.

Under 16 single tennis: Gerónimo Valle said goodbye to the games, winning his last zone match 2 – 0 against Deraux.

Under 16 double tennis: Juan Pescio and Felipe Rivero fell (0 – 2) against the Quilmes duo, ending their participation in this edition of the Buenos Aires Games.

Double tennis +60: Fabián Brandoni and Néstor Suarez fell in the last match against Magdalena (1 – 2) and were eliminated.

Swimming: Under 16 women’s – butterfly, Martina Parodi finished in 5th place in her heat, failing to advance to the final.

Under 16 men’s 100 m freestyle, Janko Tassara completed his series achieving a 3rd place and a pass to the final.

Cestoball 3×3: the representatives of the Padre Ansaldo Institute defeated their peers from San Fernando by 8 to 6, but it was not enough for them to qualify.

Sub 14 table tennis: Sub 14 table tennis: Sub 14 table tennis: Juan Bautista Cerverizzo beat the representative of General Pinto 3 – 2. With this result he placed 3rd in his group, not achieving the pass to the next stage.

Under 18 table tennis (PCD): Santiago Lezcano completed his participation, without achieving victories, but gaining great experience.

Under 18 table tennis: Dylan Ramirez, who won the gold medal, closed his participation with a victory against Esteban Echeverria’s representative, but it was not enough for him to overcome the stage.
