A course to be completed at the University of Paris Nanterre, in the Department of Letters.

The course was due to start on Tuesday 17 January but can be postponed to Tuesday 24 January.

The course takes place on Tuesday mornings, from 10:30 to 12:30, for a small group of L2 students (about fifteen) of the Humanities, Cultures and International Exchanges course. There are 12 two-hour sessions to take care of.

The course is called “Media Circulations” and it should be provided mostly in English :

“Recent notions, cultural mediation and interculturality constantly return to the center of current debates: it is therefore a matter of understanding their problems and their representations on different media. In this laboratory-course which will place particular emphasis on oral expression in English, students will work on issues of identity and cultures, exploring how they encounter, perceive and represent themselves through a wide range of journalistic, theoretical, literary, iconographic and cinematographic documents, mainly from American and British sources, and The course will take place in English language. The objective of this teaching is twofold: to stimulate critical and comparative reflection and to strengthen the mastery of the English language. These two dimensions will be taken into consideration for the evaluation.
