Portugal’s Squad for Duel with Luxembourg Undergoes Three Alterations, Confirms Roberto Martinez – SAPO Sports

Defenders Diogo Dalot, António Silva and Nuno Mendes are the new additions to the ‘eleven’ of the Portuguese football team in Luxembourg, in the meeting of the second round of Group J of the qualifying phase for Euro2024.

Manchester United’s right-back, Benfica’s centre-back, who will only make his third ‘AA’ cap, and Paris Saint-Germain’s left-back were not included in the initial selections of coach Roberto Martínez against Liechtenstein (4-0 ), on Thursday, in Alvalade.

Portugal needs to be in one of the top two places in Group J to have direct access to the final stage of the competition scheduled for Germany (June 14 to July 14, 2024).
