KOMPAS.com – Football Federation Portugal (FPF) disputed the report which stated this Cristiano Ronaldo threatens to leave World Cup 2022.
The report came after Cristiano Ronaldo he started the match on the bench against Switzerland in the round of 16 world Cup 2022.
This is the first time Ronaldo has come off the bench in a major tournament since Euro 2008.
Therefore, Ronaldo has reportedly been in discussions with Portuguese tactician, Fernando Santos.

During talks with Fernando Santos, Ronaldo reportedly warned he would leave Portugal ahead of the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against Morocco.
As for the match Morocco vs Portugal 2022 World Cup Quarter Finals will take place at Al Thumama Stadium on Saturday (10/12/2022) evening WIB.
However, FPF immediately provided clarifications. FPF says Ronaldo did not threaten to quit Portugal’s 2022 World Cup squad.
“There are reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has threatened to quit the Portuguese national team while talking to Fernando Santos,” the FPF said in a statement. The Guardian.

“FPF clarifies that at no time did the Portuguese national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, threaten to leave the team in Qatar,” the statement continued.
“Cristiano has built a unique track record in service to the national team and the country, which must be respected and has demonstrated an unquestionable level of commitment to the national team.”
Furthermore, FPF stressed that the Portuguese national team has a big commitment to excel at the 2022 World Cup.
“Players, coaches, FPF structure, as they have been since day one, are fully committed and enthusiastic about building the best possible participation for Portugal in the World Cup,” FPF said.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo released a statement that the Portuguese national team was in stable condition ahead of the match against Morocco.
