Portugal will be the first team to qualify for the UEFA F17 European Championship 2024 in Sweden. This after a 3-1 victory in the decisive match against Finland.
In May, the UEFA F17 EC will come to Sweden. Malmö and Lund will host the championship, which will be played May 5-18.
During Tuesday, the tickets for Sweden’s matches in the tournament were released and later in the afternoon the first team qualified. Namely Portugal.
It will be the third time that Portugal participates in the UEFA F17 EC. The country was there in 2013 when it was a passport in the group stage and in 2019 when the team made it to the semi-finals.
Portugal won all three of their matches in European Championship qualification Round 2: Iceland 1-0, Kosovo 1-0 and Finland 3-1.
