The new measures – which can be found here – are dictated by levels of risk ranging from “moderate” to “extremely high”, passing through “high” and “very high”.
In general, the measures include interdicting circulation between municipalities from 11 pm on 27 November to 5 am on 2 December and from 11 pm on 4 December at 11:59 pm on the 8th.The use of masks is mandatory in the workplace.
Schools will not have classes on the eve of public holidays and there will be a point allowance for the Civil Service. The private sector asked that workers be dismissed in the same two days.
The mandatory curfew will continue to be in effect in the 127 “extremely high” and “very high” risk counties between 11 pm and 5 am on working days and from 1 pm to 5 am on the weekend of 28 and 29 November, on 5 and 6 December and on the holidays of December 1 and 8.
Commercial establishments will be closed in the same 127 municipalities, starting at 3 pm.
The 47 counties with more than 960 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants are classified as being of “extremely high” risk, while “very high” risk municipalities, where between 480 and 960 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, are 80.Portugal has 3971 deaths associated with Covid-19, in 264,802 confirmed cases of infection by SARS-CoV-2.
In the 86 counties considered “high risk” – between 240 and 480 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants -, the curfew between 11 pm and 5 am will be in effect seven days a week.
On working days, establishments continue to close at 10 pm, with the exception of restaurants, cultural facilities and sports facilities, which may close at 10:30 pm.
The 65 counties with an incidence of less than 240 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants form the list of “moderate risk”.
