The World Cup continues in Qatar. The round of 16 match between Portugal and Switzerland is over. The match was played at the Lusail Ikonik Stadium which has a capacity of 88,966 fans. Portugal won 6-1.
Goncalo Ramos opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the match, in the 33rd minute Pepe headed a corner, at the beginning of the second half Ramos scored a brace, and in the 56th minute Rafael Guerreiro scored the fourth goal. In the 58th minute Manuel Akanji played a ball. In the 67th minute, Ramos scored the Portuguese’s fifth goal, and in the 92nd minute, Rafael Leau scored the team’s sixth goal.
Portugal initially finished top of Group H with six points. The Portuguese won matches against Ghana (3:2) and Uruguay (2:0), and lost against South Korea (1:2) in the last round.
Switzerland qualified from Group G in second place with six points. The Swiss beat Cameroon with a score of 1:0, lost to Brazil with the same score and defeated Serbia (3:2).
