Portugal beat Switzerland (6-1) on Tuesday at the Lusail Stadium in Doha and will play the quarter-finals at the 2022 World Cup against Morocco on Saturday (16:00).

Young striker Gonçalo Ramos, who started in the front line in place of star Cristiano Ronaldo, scored a hat-trick (17th, 51st, 67th). His teammates Pepe (33rd), Raphael Guerreiro (55th) and Rafael Leao (90th +2) increased the score, which the Swiss Manuel Akanji had, for a time, reduced (58th).
