From the Reformed to the head of the monastery: Sister Maria Raphael (35) has found her calling in Lucerne

Sister Maria Raphael Märtens is the new head of the Capuchin convent Gerlisberg in Lucerne. A long search preceded her position as the new mother. With a view to Easter, it has a special message.

Easter is Sr. Maria Raphael Märtens’ favorite holiday. “It has a special meaning, especially in times of Corona,” says the newly elected mother of the Capuchin community in the Gerlisberg Monastery in Lucerne: “It’s about the resurrection, the getting up in the truest sense of the word.”
