“Porto Footballer Pepê Acquires Italian Passport: Could He Play for Italy’s National Team?”

The FC Porto footballer, Pepê, picked up his Italian passport this Monday, in the city of Porto, with his manager, Adriano Spadoto.

Pepê had already acquired Italian nationality and went to get his passport this morning at the Italian Consulate in Porto, at the Italian Socio-Cultural Association of Portugal Dante Alighieri.

Pepê has Italian ancestry from his father, Radanes Donizete, and it is possible that he could play for the transalpine national team.

On the other hand, the 26-year-old player also has ancestry from Paraguay, through his mother, Zunilda Aquino.

This year, the Brazilian press had already published the information that Pepê had been probed by Paraguay and Italy, with a view to the cycle until the 2026 World Cup, but that he would still await a possible opportunity in the Brazilian national team.
