Manchester United was close to signing another catastrophic night, allowing themselves to come back from 0-2 against Porto, but the much criticized Harry Maguire, in injury time, rescued a draw that could save the head of Erik Ten Hag (3-3 ).
The ‘Red Devils’, after the defeat conceded at the weekend against Tottenham Hotspur, once again came close to another disappointment, this time by allowing them to overturn the 0-2 deficit with which Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund made their team dream.
The English striker, in a beautiful individual play, defined the short post of Diogo Costa in the 7th minute, who helped a lot with his attempt to stop the ball from entering the goal. United did not have to wait long to double their advantage and in the twentieth minute Rashford set up the ball for Hojlund, without much of an angle, to once again expose the poor work of Costa, who was very soft with his mitt to save the Dane’s shot.
From that precise moment, with the score at Do Dragao 0-2, the night went wrong for United.
Pepé, seven minutes later, headed in a great save that Onana had made from Mazaraoui, and Samu Omorodion, with a header, equalized before the break.
Just after the break, the ortho dealt another blow. This time, Pepé easily outpaced Lisandro Martínez and placed a cross for Omorodion to escape from De Ligt and define the squad.
