The Portland Timbers overcame New York City FC (3-1) Saturday to Sunday night, while at the same time Minnesota United made short work of San Jose (4-1 ).
On August 5, Portland will challenge Philadelphia for a spot in the MLS Resume Tournament Final, and the next day Minnesota and Orlando will compete for the other ticket.
