Porter meets tragic end after accident unloading glass from lorry in Valancherry

Malappuram: A glass pane fell on the body of a porter in Valanchery. Siddique, a native of Kottaram, died. The accident happened on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred while the glass panes were being unloaded from a lorry carrying glass from Tamil Nadu to a plywood-glass showroom operating near Kottapuram Juma Masjid. While unloading from the lorry using a crane, the glass pane fell and fell on Siddique’s body.

Siddique, who was caught between the lorry and the glass, was immediately taken to the Valanchery hospital, but his life could not be saved. The body kept in the mortuary will be handed over to the relatives after completion of the formalities.
