Sony launches a solution to make video calls and ‘streaming’ from its cameras – SONY

Sony has announced a new solution, Imaging Edge Webcam, with which it allows users of 35 models of digital cameras in its catalog to use them to make video calls and transmit videos in ‘streaming’ in high quality.
The Imaging Edge Webcam system offers the possibility of easily converting a Sony digital camera into a high-quality ‘webcam’ by connecting it to a PC -with Windows 10 64-bit- through a USB port, and it is not cost-free for the user, as reported by Sony in a statement sent to Europa Press.
Imaging Edge Webcam allows both live streaming and video conferencing, and allows you to generate video with the imaging characteristics of each digital camera, such as autofocus and image quality.
Sony’s service currently supports 35 models of its digital cameras, including: Alpha 9 II, Alpha 9, Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III, Alpha 7R II, Alpha 7S II, Alpha 7S, Alpha 7 III, Alpha 7 II , Alpha 7S III, Alpha 6600, Alpha 6400, Alpha 6100, RX100 VII, RX100 VI, RX0 II, RX0, the ZV-1 vlog camera and more.
The new Imaging Edge Webcam PC application is available for free download on the Sony website starting this Thursday.
