Apple has developed battery packs for iPhone 12 phones that use MagSafe technology to adhere to them with a magnetic system, similar to other accessories already available.
The new batteries have been in development for at least a year and are attached to the iPhone to charge the device wirelessly using MagSafe. They would also serve as a protective shell, since some models have a rubber exterior.
The company would have planned its launch in the months after the presentation of the iPhone 12 family, according to sources familiar with this matter have told Bloomberg.
IPhone testing indicates that MagSafe adhesion is robust, but loading is sometimes slowed by software issues. There have also been some issues when using this accessory on an iPhone with and without a case.
