Porsche has just restyled its top-of-the-range SUV. And it’s not a simple shot of Rimmel. Indeed, this new version has undergone a new development, almost like a new generation. In other words, there are stylistic novelties that can be seen and novelties under the hood. Everything will please Cayenne fans.
The Cayenne is changing! However, this is not a new generation. And it’s almost good for Porsche enthusiasts since the big SUV from the Stuttgart firm will go 100% electric in its next version scheduled for around 2026. There, it is simply a restylingbut sufficiently visible to breathe new life into the Cayenne, and ensure that this third generation ends their career in style. And that’s the case ! The Porsche SUV wants to restore its image. For this, it inherits a new interior inspired by the Taycan. A 10.9-inch passenger screen is available, while the center console has been decluttered by moving the gear lever to the dashboard.
But that’s not all. The Cayenne also changes its look, while retaining the curves that made it so successful. Nevertheless, almost all body panels have been reworked. The headlights have been refined, the bonnet and the front bumper redesigned to give this SUV a more ” athletic », according to the press release from Porsche. At the rear, a new light signature also inspired by the Taycan appears on the Porsche SUV. But the novelty that will appeal most to all Porschists is hidden under the hood.

The return of the V8
The V8 engine hadn’t disappeared from the lineup, but it was reserved for the baddest versions. Here it is back in the catalog as soon as the Cayenne S. This abandons the twin-turbo V6 to opt for a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 474 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, 34 horsepower more than in the previous version. This reduces the time from 0 to 100 km/h to just 4.6 seconds… Something to worry about BMW XM!
The entry-level Cayenne’s turbocharged V6 engine now produces 353 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, which is 13 hp and 49 Nm more than before. This same engine is also the thermal part of the E-Hybrid model. In addition to the improved combustion engine, the hybrid has a larger high-voltage battery, the capacity of which increases from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh. The combined output of the E-Hybrid is 469 horsepower. Finally, the twin-turbo V8 engine of the Turbo GT, which remains the flagship of the range and is only available in coupe version, develops 659 horsepower, which allows it to display a top speed of 302 km / h and a 0 to 100 km / h swallowed in 3.1 seconds. Only problem… The Turbo GT will not come to Europe!

Logical price increase
Inevitably, with more power and new technologies on board, the price goes up. It will be necessary to spend the trifle of 91,350 euros at least in France to afford the basic model. For the hybrid model, it’s 105,712 euros and 109,933 euros for the S model with its V8. For the “Coupé” models, an extension of 3,000 to 5,000 euros will have to be added. Remember that GTS, Turbo S and Turbo S E-Hybrid versions should arrive later in the catalog, just to console us for the absence of Turbo GT in Europe.
