A Porsche Taycan was involved in an accident that involved two other cars, including a BMW 1 Series, while it was parked in the parking lot in the driveway.
Epic fail in the parking phase, the web is full of them but the dynamics always leave us dumbfounded. The latest feat comes from Great Britain with a Porsche Taycan protagonist of a tragicomic accident in the driveway of a residential area. The car is filmed by a security camera as it slowly makes its way to the garage from the right side of the road. So far so good, but when it was time to put the car in reverse something obviously went wrong. The Taycan accelerates abruptly and ends first against the SUV parked in front of the adjacent house, and then ends up on top of a BMW 1 Series parked in the street, below the wall. There is no certain information about the causes of the accident, however it is likely that it is an error by the driver who set the gear to D instead of R during the parking phase. The brutal acceleration of the Zuffenhausen electric did the rest. Once the accelerator pedal was pressed too abruptly, in fact, the Taycan unloaded all the torque of the electric motor, which we recall ranging from the 650 Nm of the 4S to the 1,050 Nm of the Turbo S, naturally immediately available. The zero-emission coupe then remained in the balance between the wall and the unfortunate Series 1, reporting significant damage, in addition to those caused to the other cars involved.
