Porsche Super Cup celebrates 30 years with unique 911 GT3 – Super Cars

There’s nothing like celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Porsche Super Cup with a unique edition of the 911 GT3… but to accelerate on any road!

The preparation of the car was carried out by the Exclusive Manufaktur division of the Stuttgart brand, according to the Sonderwunsch customization and development programme.

“Each project is something very special, not just for the customers, but also for us,” explains Alexander Fabig, Vice President Individualization and Classics at Porsche.

A road-going 911 GT3 served as the basis for Sonderwunsch technicians who, in less than six months, dismantled and rebuilt the super sports car with new mechanical features and a design especial.

On the engine side, nothing has been changed: the original 510 hp and 470 Nm of the 4.0-liter, in-line six-cylinder block, capable of taking it from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, are maintained.

The overall aesthetic was inspired by the VIP version of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, where public figures are invited to take the wheel at special competition events.

In that sense, instead of covering it with a film, the body was painted from edge to edge in eight shades, with the logo to mark the anniversary and a multicolored pixel mesh over the rear wheel arches.

Applying the pixelated mesh evenly was the most difficult task to accomplish, according to Porsche, due to the complex curves and angles of the bodywork.

The names of the winners of the 29 Porsche Super Cup seasons have also been immortalized in gold on the rear bumper.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Porsche Super Cup are huge numbers 30 on the doors and hood, as well as the headrests of the seats.

The seat upholstery and door panel coverings combine black and are finished in a combination of black and aurum.

This special edition inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will be shown at upcoming races and at the end of the summer it will be on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and the CityLife Showroom in Milan.
