Depending on the model and equipment, the seating position for the driver and front passenger is now as much as 28 millimeters lower than before, the rear passengers are now as much as 15 millimeters lower and have more legroom.
The interior of the car is clearly kept in “Porsche” style: the width of the cabin is highlighted by an integrated black panel. The raised center console design reinforces the impression of the driver’s low and performance-oriented position in the car. At the same time, the large windows create a light and airy feeling in the cabin. In addition to state-of-the-art digital user interfaces, there are also individual analog controls such as air vents and air conditioning controls.
A thoughtfully designed cab and door trim strip incorporates an LED light strip. It works both as an ambient light and as a communication light. Depending on the situation, it provides information or warnings, for example about waiting for the driver, charging or notifications related to driver assistance systems. The equipment range of the new Macan provides extensive customization options.
“Porsche” also aims to use more ecological materials in car production. Some of these materials have been used in individual parts of the interior of the all-electric Macan.
“Driver Experience”: high computing power and connectivity
The Macan is equipped with the latest generation display and control concept with multiple – up to three – screens, including a free-standing 12.6-inch curved instrument panel and a 10.9-inch central display. For the first time, the passenger can also view information, adjust infotainment system settings or stream video content using their optional 10.9-inch screen while driving.
