Porsche boasted a record time two weeks ago on the northern loop of the Nürburgring, a camouflaged cayenne of unknown name set the fastest time among serial SUVs. It is now clear that it was a Cayenne Turbo GT.
–
It has an improved eight-cylinder with a displacement of 4.0 liters and double supercharging. It is tuned for 640 horsepower. Compared to the Turbo version, there are 90 more horsepower, thanks to new turbochargers, injection, intercooler or titanium exhaust.
–
Torque has been increased by 80 newton meters to 850 Nm, which must be handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. By the way, the Turbo GT is not the most powerful cayenne, the plug-in hybrid version of the Turbo S e-Hybrid has 680 horsepower, but the novelty without batteries is faster.
–
In the hundred, there is another tenth of the slower version of the Turbo Coupé in 3.3 seconds, in contrast to the hybrid 3.8 sao. The maximum speed of the Turbo GT version is 297 km / h, which is again the most in the car’s portfolio.
–
But the novelty is far from just about the engine. As standard, it sits 17 mm closer to the road, the air suspension is 15 percent stiffer, and according to the carmaker, each part of the chassis is tuned specifically for the Turbo GT. Including active stabilizers, rear wheel steering, geometry and other elements.
–
Visually, the GT differs in both bumpers, special 22-inch wheels, a carbon roof and a rear active spoiler. Inside this version features an innovative infotainment, differing decors and fields of Alcantara. The rear bench can also be double.
–
The first European deliveries are expected this autumn, the Czech price has not been published yet.
