Porsche has set a production car record on the Nordschleife

The Porsche 911 GT RS, modified by Manthey Racing, covered the circuit at 6: 43,300, which is the equivalent of 6: 38,835 on an older, shorter version of the track. He thus broke the previous record of 4,747 seconds held by the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.

If the adjustment supplement from Manthey Racing specialists does not smell good to you, then know that all used elements can be ordered through an official Porsche dealer, so the Germans defend themselves by saying that it is really a serial road car that has just undergone factory tuning.

The set contains aerodynamic elements such as a modified diffuser or a different rear spoiler. At speeds around 200 km / h, it offers 21 kilograms more pressure on the front axle and 107 kilograms on the rear axle. The package also includes new magnesium alloy wheels with a diameter of 20 and 21 inches, different ceramic brakes with special pads and adjustable shock absorbers.

However, behind the rear axle, the supercharged six-cylinder with counter-rotating pistons still has an output of 515 kW, 700 hp, and works in conjunction with a dual-clutch transmission.

“With the kit, the 911 GTS RS stays glued to the track, you feel like you’re in a race car, especially in fast corners. “It’s unbelievable how the car delivers 700 horsepower and how well it brakes,” said driver Lars Kern.
