A popular car rental company from time to time informs about a unique car introduced to the offer. The last raisin was the sporty 245 hp Porsche Cayman, so it became loud again about Panek Carsharing. Unfortunately, the car quickly fell out of service after it was badly damaged in the center of Warsaw.
The event took place on Saturday, December 12, before 3 am, at the intersection of Plac Grzybowski and ul. Hard. We remind you that Porsche Cayman appeared in the offer not much earlier, only on Friday, December 11. The first comments said that the driver probably wanted to skid the 245 hp car or was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, so he will be charged the amount of damage.
This, however, was not confirmed. The car sharing company issued an official statement on this matter and it turned out that, according to the police findings, the driver of another car was responsible for the collision. In this situation, the repair would be covered by the perpetrator’s insurance, but the matter is a bit more complicated, because the Porsche driver also had his conscience. Well, he got behind the wheel of a Porsche after drinking alcohol. The operator reported that it “slightly exceeded the allowable amount of alcohol in the body.” The case is pending, it may end up in court.
This is not the first and probably not the last damaged car in the car sharing service. In April this year, also from the Panek Carsharing fleet, crashed off-road Jeep Wrangler.
