Porsche has presented the new 911 Targa. The model, a sort of cross between a coupé and convertible, has been a regular part of the range since 1967. The new 911 Targa is coming to the Netherlands later this year.
Porsche supplies the new model as Targa 4 (with four-wheel drive) and as Targa 4S. The latter has 450 hp, while the 911 Targa 4 has to do with 385 hp. That car is always equipped with an automatic gearbox. The more powerful S version is also available with a manual gearbox.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 289 kilometers per hour. The S version does the sprint in 3.6 seconds and continues up to 304 kilometers per hour. This model can be recognized by red calipers, larger wheels and round exhaust tailpipes.
The new Porsche 911 Targa costs at least 168,200 euros. A manual 911 Targa 4S is on the price list for 182,700 euros, while Porsche charges 186,000 for that version with automatic transmission.
